One for each contestant, set up for them before it leaves us. Films, music, food orders and the welfare check-in all live on it. News sites, social media and messaging apps don’t.
The crew run the evening from a laptop or a phone. Welfare see the check-ins, the kitchen sees the orders, security see the door cards, and each person only gets the parts their job needs.
We set it up on site and show the crew round it. After that we’re a phone call away until wrap.

Netflix, Prime, Disney+ and the rest. Live news and sport stay off unless you turn them on.
Cast order tomorrow’s breakfast from bed. The kitchen gets one list, by room number, ready to print.
Pickup times and tomorrow’s plan, on each iPad as soon as you save them.
Mood, food and sleep on three sliders, and a box for anything else. Our version of “you ok hun?”, except someone in welfare actually reads the answer.
Send a note to one room or every room. Cast can reply if you let them.

Family write in through a private link. By default, someone on your team reads every letter before it reaches the room.
Somewhere private for cast to write things down. Producers can’t open it.
For the ones who’d rather talk than type. The recording stays on their iPad, and welfare can ask to listen.
Book a private video call with your psychologist. The link stops working when the slot ends, and nothing is recorded.

Nobody walks the corridor at 10pm taking breakfast orders. Tomorrow’s pickup time is already on the iPad. If someone wants a word, they say so from their room and the right person finds out.
Most of what’s on this page exists because someone on a real crew asked for it, usually late at night. We still take those calls.
